As Regional Director of INJAZ al Arab, Soraya mobilized the private sector and Ministries of Education across the Arab World to join forces in creating a new generation of business-oriented youth who will become entrepreneurs and the employees of choice for corporations. As Regional Director of INJAZ al Arab, Soraya mobilized the private sector and Ministries of Education across the Arab World to join forces in creating a new generation of business-oriented youth who will become entrepreneurs and the employees of choice for corporations. Her efforts have led to the expansion of INJAZ into 13 Arab Countries reaching more than 700,000 youth in the world region with the highest youth unemployment.

Prior to establishing INJAZ al Arab, Soraya was applying Harvard Professor Michael Porter's model for the economic development of the Levant. She received an Executive MBA from Northwestern University's international Kellogg program and has a BA in Economics and Accounting. Soraya is also the winner of the 2006 Schwab Social Entrepreneur of the Year for Jordan, a Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum, Co-Chair of the WEF 2010 Education Summit and was the first Arab to win the global award for Social Entrepreneurship from the Skoll Foundation in 2009.

Soraya is a founding board member of the Queen Rania Awards for Excellence in Education, and the Business Development Center in Jordan. Soraya was nominated by Harvard University's student led public policy journal, as one of the Top five young public policy leaders.

As Chair of the 2011 World Economic Forum Action Group on entrepreneurship, Salti will take the
lead in advancing the 21st Century skills in education reform across the Arab World.

Salti was recently featured on PBS's popular Frontline World TV program and the exciting INJAZcompetition for Best Student Company in Egypt. She was recognized by President Barack Obama in his opening speech at the Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship held in Washington D.C. April 2010 where he said We have people like Soraya Salti of Jordan who are empowering the young men and women who will be leaders of tomorrow. Together they represent the great potential and expectations of young people around the world.
