Creating a High Performance Environment

OVERVIEW

Transforming business performance in response to strategic threats and opportunities or upping the game on innovation and customer engagement are challenges which many companies struggle with. Almost every CEO, whatever size of organisation they are running, will tell you “we rely on a handful of people to get things done here; we need more people to step up”.
CEOs look with envy at companies like Apple, Virgin and Google which employees, customers and investors love in equal measure and which have delivered great customer satisfaction and outstanding value creation in an environment which buzzes with energy and creativity. In these companies and others, high performance is a way of life and people get out of bed each day fired up about work.

Creating a high performance environment like this requires a major commitment by the CEO and a large-scale corporate transformation programme. Not surprisingly few CEOs find that prospect appealing unless their company is under serious financial or competitive threat. However there is an achievable and smart approach to gradually shifting a whole organisation towards high performance. That is to give individual executives (and leadership teams) the skills required to achieve their goals and fulfil their mission with greater speed and resilience within the current environment. For those executives currently regarded as high performers the same approach can raise their game to an even higher level.

THE MASTERCLASS COVERS

• THE KEY PRINCIPLES OF HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADERSHIP with first hand examples from Firstdirect, Mercury and Egg and companies that partnered with them: like Apple, Microsoft, Virgin and Nokia; from companies Mike has run workshops for: like IBM, Natwest, Generali, British Telecom, British Gas, Adobe, and O2; and from companies where Mike knew the leaders personally like Proctor and Gamble, Innocent Drinks, Pacific Gas and Electric and Lulu Lemon.
• A SIMPLE AND MEMORABLE SHIFT OF PERSPECTIVE that has an instant and remarkable effect on the speed and resilience with which an individual leader is able to achieve their goals. Mike says, "this is the key benefit of the workshop. It has taken me 30 years to make leadership coaching this simple and this effective".
• REAL TIME COACHING OF INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANTS in how to use that shift of perspective to achieve a breakthrough in a real business issue facing them right now.
• AN INTRODUCTION TO ALL OF THE TOOLS AND PROCESSES, which can be put in place to have an impact on the performance of a leadership team.

BENEFITS

• An immediate increase in the leadership effectiveness of individual participants, measured by the speed and resilience with which they achieve their goals and their ability to take on bigger challenges.
• An increase in energy, creativity and motivation.
• An understanding of what it would take to create a high performance team.
• An understanding of how to evaluate opportunities and take Smart Risks.
