David Pascall
From 2002 2007, David Pascall was Managing Director of Terra Firma Capital Partners, reporting directly to the founder, Guy Hands, with 30 billion invested mainly in UK and Germany He also had responsibilities for Germany as MD for terrafirma GmbH based in Frankfurt and ran the first major property privatisation in Germany with the 2 billion purchase of 64,000 flats from the German railways (Deutsche Anninngton). Previous to this he was Managing Director of Nomura Principal Finance Group, again reporting to Guy Hands.
From 1996 1998 he was Finance Director of Rocco Forte Group, assisting Sir Rocco Forte on his return to the hotel business following Granada's take-over of Forte plc. By October 1998, the group comprised three operational hotels and four committed development projects in UK, Italy and Russia with other European projects under negotiation. Prior to joining the Rocco Forte Group he held a number of senior positions at the money and securities broking firm, MAI plc,
From 1989-1993 he was the manager of BP's Change Management Programme, Project 1990. He was appointed by the Chairman-elect of BP to completely rethink BP's organisation, style and structure for the future. David led the introduction of major cultural and process change across BP.
David has also held a number of key senior positions advising government. From 1982-83 he was in the Central Policy Review Staff at the Cabinet Office (on secondment from BP), and from 1983-84 he was policy adviser to the Prime Minister, Lady Thatcher at the No 10 Policy Unit, also on secondment from BP. From 1991-93 he was the (part-time) chairman of the National Curriculum Council. In 2006 he became a member of the Development Advisory Council at the University of Birmingham
